New 2017 Kia Forte at Century 3 Kia for Pittsburgh, PA

The 2017 Kia Forte adds and upgrades some of its features. The base engine has changed to a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that delivers great fuel economy. The front end gets upgraded styling to give an even more sophisticated look. It also has a new front bumper and "tiger nose" grille with newly designed headlights. Customers do have a choice of two front fascia designs. For 2017, previous features that were optional are now standard on the EX like smartphone integration and a multitude of safety features. Under the Forte's Hood

The Forte has the same engine in a few different trims, but each give off different torque and horsepower. The LX and S are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It is powered by 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. It runs front-wheel drive and has the option of a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission. The EPA fuel economy us 32 mpg combined with the automatic and with the manual at 28 mpg combined. The EX gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that is rated at 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. This engine option comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy is 28 mpg combined.

Design of Kia Forte

The Forte sedan has three trim levels: LX, S, and EX. The LX comes with heated mirrors, air-conditioning, a trip computer, power accessories, a height-adjustable driver seat, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth, a four-speaker sound system, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, and a USB port. An add-on for the automatic LX is the Popular package that includes cruise control, automatic headlights, a sliding armrest, upgraded interior upholstery and trim, a rearview camera, a rear-seat armrest, six-speakers, and a 4.3-inch touchscreen. The S trim comes with a sport-tuned suspension, LED running lights, a chrome exhaust outlet, adjustable drive modes, black cloth upholstery with white stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a rear spoiler, smartphone integration, and a 7-inch touchscreen. Optional add-ons for the S are the Technology package that adds foglights, LED taillights, keyless entry/ignition, and safety features; and the Premium package that adds a sunroof a power driver seat, heated front seats, a sliding front armrest, a navigation system, and driver memory settings. The EX trim comes with foglights, LED turn signal indicators on the mirror housing, LED taillights, keyless entry/ignition, leather upholstery, ambient interior lighting, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic temperature control with rear vents.

All the 2017 Kia Forte models come standard with anti-lock disc brakes, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, and traction and stability control. A rearview camera is standard on all trims, except the LX.
