Performance
The same four powertrains offered in the 2023 Kia Sorento are available in the 2024 model year without change. The entry-level gas engine is a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter unit mated to an eight-speed transmission. This 191-horsepower system is offered with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive. A turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine is also available. It produces 281 horsepower and links to an eight-speed auto, dual-clutch transmission. The highest trim levels have standard all-wheel drive and can tow up to 4,000 pounds. The Sorento is also available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid systems.
Appearance
In 2024, the Kia Sorento undergoes a design transformation on the interior and exterior. On the exterior, the new Sorento shows off new taillights at the rear and a reshaped, wide grille that covers most of the front end. This grille is mounted over a prominent bumper fascia and links directly to the sharply bent LED ribbons in the headlights. You can also choose from several new wheel designs for the latest model year. If you choose the new X-Line or X-Pro trim levels, your crossover could have silver exterior trim, dark 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and all-terrain tires. The 2024 Kia Sorento has an updated dashboard with a new infotainment system.
Features
The operating system for the infotainment system has been fine-tuned in the 2024 Sorento. Otherwise, the features are identical between these two model years. The entry-level trim has a 12.3-inch touch display screen, a digital instrument panel, wireless smartphone app connections, a split-folding third row, forward collision avoidance, lane keeping, and others.
