New 2017 Kia Sedona at Century 3 Kia for Pittsburgh, PA

The 2017 Kia Sedona is among the least expensive minivans in its class, and for the price, it offers more features than its competitors. It also boasts an amazingly quiet ride, Slide-N-Stow rear seats, high safety scores, and Kia's signature 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. New for 2017, Kia has added optional features such an updated infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfacing, Autonomous Emergency Braking, upgraded HID headlights and a sound resistant windshield. With all these features and additions, it is hard not to see the value in buying a Sedona.

Under the Sedona's Hood

All 2017 Sedona models are equipped with a 3.3-liter V6 engine that powers the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine generates 276 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque, and it can push the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds. The six-speed automatic transmission downshifts smoothly via the shift lever located on the console. The Sedona's braking is responsive and in Edmund's brake tests, the vehicle braked from 60 mph in a short 119 feet. Towing capacity for the 2017 Sedona is rated at 3,500 pounds, and its fuel economy stands at 18/24 mpg in the three lower trims.

Design of Kia Sedona

The design of the Sedona is appealing to many since it does not look like a traditional minivan, having a body more similar to an SUV. It can hold up to eight passengers and the second-row captain's chairs slide forward and vertically stash, making installation of child seats in the third row a breeze. The third-row seats easily stow flat into the rear floor, offering an expanse of cargo space. Maximum cargo space in the Sedona is 142 cubic feet. Available in five trim levels, the L, LX, EX, SX and SX Limited, the Sedona offers a range of price points for every budget. Standard features on the base model include a four-speaker audio system with 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth and USB/auxiliary inputs, front and rear controlled A/C, a rearview camera, stain-resistant upholstery, and more. Moving up the trim levels to the LX, you'll see features such as an 8-way-power driver's seat, power-sliding doors and power-folding exterior mirrors. The EX trim adds a power liftgate, leather upholstery, the UVO infotainment system with 7" touchscreen, a backup-warning system, and tri-zone climate control. SX models have the 8-speaker Infinity audio system, the larger 8-inch touch screen with navigation, ventilated front seats, and LED headlamps. The highest trim overflows with luxury items such as self-leveling HID headlights, Nappa leather seating, dual sunroofs, faux wood interior trim, and a heated leather-coated steering wheel.
