What to Do Before You Off-Road

Off-roading can be a fun adventure with plenty of sights, adrenalin pumping obstacles, and flying mud. However, off-roading can also be a traumatic experience, especially if you are kicking yourself because you did not bother to check your vehicle before turning up that trail or down that ravine.

Before you go, you should always follow a checklist. Check your tires to make sure there is not any excessive tread wear or loss of air pressure. Check your fuel—make sure you have enough to keep you going the whole day. Carry extra cans of fuel and water in case of an emergency. Check your fluids. This means all of them—coolant, brake fluid, engine oil, and windshield wiper cleaner.

Remember, you are not driving around West Mifflin, PA. Take survival food, blankets, flares, and water with you in case of an emergency. If you have any concerns, come to Century 3 Kia to have your vehicle checked.
